SARAH FOSSE
SARAH FOSSE – originally from Liverpool but raised in Jersey, Channel Islands, Sarah has travelled extensively before settling in London in 2005. A lifelong painter, Sarah inherited her artistic talent from her mother, a professional artist, and her work has been widely exhibited across Europe, including a recent sold-out solo show in London.
Influenced by early 20th-century masters like André Derain and Henri Matisse, Sarah’s passion for Fauvism and Expressionism is unmistakable in her bold, vibrant color palette. Her psychedelic, bright cityscapes bring urban environments to life in a bold, graphic, and playful way, distorting and deconstructing familiar landmarks with a sense of fun and spontaneity. Her art presents cities not as static structures, but as dynamic, living entities bursting with energy and color.
A fascination with water, born from a life spent near coastal and river environments, informs much of Sarah's distinctive style. She masterfully captures the movement, reflections, and vibrancy of water, incorporating these elements into her striking depictions of urban landscapes.
Her works have been featured in prestigious publications like The Wall Street Journal, Vogue, and the BBC, and her ever-growing following has earned her private and corporate collectors from across Europe, North America, Africa, Asia, and Australia.
Now based in London, Sarah finds inspiration in her adopted city as well as the many places she travels. London, New York, Hong Kong, and Paris are regular features in her portfolio, as she transforms these iconic locations into bold, imaginative worlds that celebrate the vibrancy and joy of city life.
