'Emergence' - Discover the new wave of talent!

On Saturday, October 12th, Adamo Gallery was abuzz with excitement as we welcomed clients and art lovers to the launch of Emergence: Fresh Talent in Focus. This latest exhibition is a celebration of fresh perspectives, featuring the works of eight remarkable new artists who have joined the Adamo Gallery family.

Each artist brings a unique voice, capturing compelling themes and emotions through diverse styles and mediums. We are thrilled to represent and showcase such a talented group, and we’re excited to introduce you to the creative forces behind Emergence.

Sarah Graham;

Sarah Graham is a renowned hyper-realist painter, celebrated for her ability to create vibrant and lifelike still-life paintings that captivate the viewer with their extraordinary detail.

Her work is a bold exploration of colour, and she masterfully captures an elusive sense of joy in her subjects. Often inspired by childhood imagery, Sarah’s paintings feature playful themes such as sweets, toys, and nostalgic objects that evoke wonder and a sense of innocence.

Gareth Tristan Evans;

Born in Singapore, raised in a remote Welsh valley, and now residing in Macclesfield, Gareth is an emerging mixed media artist whose work is captivating an expanding audience of contemporary art collectors both in the UK and abroad.

His artistic journey is shaped by a rich blend of personal experiences and an insatiable curiosity for materials and techniques. From photography and digital design to traditional pen and brushwork, Gareth's creative approach is fluid, embracing a diverse range of mediums that allow him to explore complex themes and intricate details with precision. His obsessive attention to detail, rooted in O.C.D. tendencies, fuels his desire to push boundaries and blur the lines between different art forms.

Gareth’s inspirations are as eclectic as his methods. Childhood memories, the textures of vintage textiles, the raw energy of street art, and his fascination with Eastern symbolism all weave together to form the fabric of his work. Unconfined by the rules of traditional art forms, Gareth draws from an ever-evolving toolkit, adapting his techniques and materials to suit the story he seeks to tell through each piece.

Anne-Marie Ellis;

Anne-Marie Ellis's fashion-forward artworks are a testament to her extensive knowledge and deep passion for the fashion industry, honed through years of experience and creativity. Her work is infused with a sophisticated vintage aesthetic, drawing inspiration from the elegance of classic cocktails and iconic moments in film, weaving a rich tapestry of visual storytelling that captivates and transports viewers.

As a mixed media artist, Anne-Marie showcases extraordinary versatility and resourcefulness. She masterfully incorporates branding elements into her pieces, experimenting with bold colour palettes and innovative design techniques. This playful yet precise approach reflects her strong roots in the fashion world, where the power of branding and design are integral to her artistic vision. Having started her career in fashion, Anne-Marie’s creative spirit has been shaped by her keen understanding of the industry, which continues to influence her work.

Sannib;

Sannib’s iconic portraiture celebrates a distinguished collection of instantly recognisable figures to produce show-stopping artworks. The creativity with which he represents familiar faces is both innovative and charming; the classical portrait is abstracted, and the Illusion of layers gives stunning depth to the work.

Sannib has developed a unique mixed-media style blending graphic elements, painting techniques and textures. He uses several materials and mediums, combined with highly distinctive colourways and avant-garde finishes.

Most recently, his foray into aluminium art has resulted in highly stylised and sleek finished pieces while utilising aluminium as a medium in its own right. Its highly reflective surface offers an interesting finish to the work.

Kyrie-Anne McCune;

With over 17 years of experience as a tattooist, Kyrie-Anne McCune continues to practice her craft at The Gilded Serpent Tattoo Gallery, her private custom studio set in the scenic, semi-rural town of Heskin near Chorley.

In 2019, Kyrie-Anne sought a new creative outlet, driven by her deep appreciation for antiques, old pub mirrors, period properties, and the timeless appeal of classic cars and sign-written commercial vehicles. This passion led her to discover the art of gilding, an ancient craft that perfectly complemented her love for traditional aesthetics.

She later uncovered a family connection to gilding by chance, learning that her great-grandfather had been a coach painter and gilder, which only deepened her dedication to the craft. Today, Kyrie-Anne honours that heritage while adding her modern twist, specialising in reverse glass gilding, also known as verre églomisé.

Using genuine gold and traditional techniques, she infuses each piece with a contemporary flair, blending the old with the new uniquely and strikingly. Whether through her tattoo artistry or her gilding work, Kyrie-Anne’s creativity continues to evolve, breathing life into the time-honoured traditions she holds dear.

And Wot;

And Wot, a talented artist hailing from North London, whose creative journey spans over two decades and reflects a remarkable evolution. Starting out in his teens as a graffiti artist, he quickly made a name for himself in the street art scene, mastering the use of spray cans to create bold, expressive works. However, around ten years ago, And Wot embarked on a transformative shift in his artistic practice, leading him to explore new mediums and develop a fresh, innovative vision.

Today, his body of work is a striking fusion of intricate stencilling, vibrant spray paint designs, and captivating digital collages. This eclectic mix highlights his commitment to pushing artistic boundaries, constantly experimenting with new themes, techniques, and materials to create pieces that are both visually stunning and deeply thought-provoking. His ability to blend the raw energy of street art with refined digital elements demonstrates his versatility and passion for reinvention.

Michael Sole;

Michael Sole is a skilled landscape artist from Dorset, renowned for his ability to capture the essence of nature in his work.

His art reflects a deep connection to the breath-taking landscapes he encounters, drawing inspiration from places such as southern England, the French Alps, Southern France, and Argentina.

By spending extended periods immersed in these diverse environments, Michael transforms his experiences into vibrant, serene pieces that evoke a sense of peace and fulfilment. His paintings not only highlight the beauty of nature but also convey the joy and energy he feels during his creative process. Deeply influenced by nature and its artistic traditions, Michael spends weeks outdoors, exploring his surroundings with just a fishing rod and tent, walking miles to absorb the landscape’s spirit. He embraces the dynamic forces of nature, particularly in extreme conditions like storms, using unconventional methods such as dripping, pouring, throwing, and shaking paint, foregoing the use of a brush. These techniques allow him to capture the raw power and atmosphere of the natural world through bold, physical paint applications.

Sarah Fosse;

Originally from Liverpool but raised in Jersey, Channel Islands, Sarah has travelled extensively before settling in London in 2005. A lifelong painter, Sarah inherited her artistic talent from her mother, a professional artist, and her work has been widely exhibited across Europe, including a recent sold-out solo show in London.

Influenced by early 20th-century masters like André Derain and Henri Matisse, Sarah’s passion for Fauvism and Expressionism is unmistakable in her bold, vibrant colour palette. Her psychedelic, bright cityscapes bring urban environments to life in a bold, graphic, and playful way, distorting and deconstructing familiar landmarks with a sense of fun and spontaneity. Her art presents cities not as static structures, but as dynamic, living entities bursting with energy and colour.
