JACK FEW - Jack is an abstract painter whose work delves into the mysterious, emotive language of colour, form, and texture. Working primarily in oils, he creates harmonious yet charged surfaces where each mark contributes to a deeper, unfolding narrative.

Deeply influenced by the atmospheric sensibilities of Monet and Turner, and the expressive boldness of artists like Twombly and Kline, Jack seeks to find a balance between chaos and cohesion, between the intuitive and the intentional.

His work is a personal exploration of memory and emotion, translated into motion and mood through a dynamic, physical painting process.

Painting for Jack is not about depicting the visible world, but about conjuring something new; a synthesis of feeling, memory, and imagination. His canvases emerge from a visceral process, often guided by music, where gestures become instinctive symbols and layers are built through scraping, scratching, thinning, and writing. He describes his process as “a language I action before I understand it,” embracing the unknown and inviting the viewer into that same space of mystery.

Each painting is a world in flux, fluid, raw, and alive, inviting viewers to connect with something beyond the surface. Through his practice, Jack aims to stir something fundamental in the viewer: a sense of presence, resonance, and discovery.
