Danny Abrahams - "Life is a journey filled with special memories that you never forget. Childhood dreams stay with you forever. Re-kindle your dreams and let them lead you on a journey.
Danny Abrahams, a self-taught landscape artist born in Bradford in 1977, entered the art world later in life.
His journey began at 32 when his girlfriend, Danielle, gave him his first set of paints, filling the void left by his departure from a music band.
Danny quickly developed a passion for art, spending many late nights experimenting with various mediums and techniques to develop his unique style. Within two years, he realized his potential, allowing him to leave his job and earn a living through his artwork. Today, his pieces are exhibited in numerous galleries across the country.
Art has become the central focus of Danny's life. As a proud Yorkshireman, he draws inspiration from the local northern landscape's beauty and his travels from his previous career. His work, often infused with nostalgia, resonates with many. Before discovering his love for art, Danny was a dedicated musician, writing songs and playing guitar for the rock band 'The Hoover Dams.' The band enjoyed moderate success, performing across the UK, appearing on TV, and doing live radio shows. Danny finds beauty in everyday surroundings, with the sky playing a significant role in his art. Its vastness, power, and raw beauty often serve as the backdrop for his works.
Danny prefers working with oil on board, which suits his ability to capture the various moods of landscapes and the enchanting ‘skyscapes’ central to his work. Everyday life inspires him, and as he faces a blank canvas, he lets his natural talent and creativity flow, using vibrant colours to create stunning and magical pieces.
