CAROLINE WRIGHT  - Caroline Wright is a contemporary seascape and abstract artist living and working on Shoreham Beach, where her home studio opens directly onto the vast, ever-changing horizon of the sea.

Born and raised in West Sussex, she draws constant inspiration from the light, movement, and moods of the ocean just steps from her door.

Her bold, modern paintings are vibrant interpretations of her deep connection to the water — from crashing waves and golden sunsets to tropical reefs and imagined underwater worlds.

Each piece is created using acrylic paints mixed with drops of seawater, collected daily from the shoreline. This ritual, she feels, forms a lasting bond between her art and the sea itself.

Metallic and pearlised paints shimmer throughout her work, catching the light like sun on water, and every canvas is sealed with a glossy resin finish, amplifying its fluid, oceanic energy.

Caroline lives with her husband and two children in their beach house, where the rhythm of the tides fuels her full-time creative practice.

As she puts it: “The sea, once it casts its spell, holds one in its net of wonder forever.” – Jacques Cousteau
